When We Race
We race the first Saturday of the month April thru November (8 Club Race Days). Note: If there is a DF65 Regatta within 2 hours of our pond, then we may change our race day to allow the whole club to attend that event. Of course, this is at our discretion.
The first race starts after the Race Director's meeting at 12:45 and racing ends around 4PM. Many people start showing up at around 11AM. There is a pizza place onsite that has incredible pizza, as well as other foods.
Note; Some special events may start at different times.
2023 Schedule (Eight Days of Fun!)
April 1st- Andy's Awesome Race Day! (09:45-12:30)
Andy treats us all to an awesome day of racing, as we celebrate our first sailing event of the year! We start racing after our skipper's meeting at 9:45. We will race our DF65s eight races and should end by 1230. Pizza is always enjoyed afterwards at our on-site pizza place!
May 13th- Cumberland Valley Model Yacht Club Challenge (12:30-3PM)
We have been invited to sail our DF65s with the Cumberland Valley Model Yacht Club in Hagerstown, MD. Be there by 12:30.

June 3rd- NMMYC Club Race Day #1 of 2 (09:45-12:30)
We will sail our DF65s eight races. Points will be awarded in order of finish to go towards the Club Championship.
Racing for fun is strongly encouraged!
July 1st-NMMYC Club Race Day #2 of 2 (09:45-12:30)

August 5th- Almost Any Boat Challenge! (09:45-12:30)
Sailors can use any RC Sailboat that is AMYA class legal that is EC12 length or less in size.
August 26th - R2 Championships! (09:00-3:30)
Our club will host the DF65 Region 2 Championship Regatta. See NOR on this site for more info.
September 23rd - 2023 Capital Cup
No Club Racing this month, as we will all compete at the Capital Cup .
November 4th- The 1st Annual West Virginia Adventure Rides "Round the World Race".
(Pizza Party Starts at 11:00, Skipper's Meeting is at 12:45)
Location: Is our lake. This series of races tests our sailor's and their DF65's sailing ability, as they try to conquer a unique and fun adventure course!
